Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data Detetive Curioso (detetivecurioso.blog) collects, why, and what you can do about it. It follows Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and is written with the GDPR in mind.
1. Who is responsible
The site is run by Roniel Jesus, who is the data controller. For any privacy matter, email ronielljesuss@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
Newsletter: if you subscribe, we store your email address and chosen language.
Audience statistics: we use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts visits in aggregate (page, country, device type) without cookies and without identifying you. Learn more.
Views and reactions: we count how many times each post is read and how many reactions it gets. These numbers are anonymous. The reaction you picked is stored only in your browser.
Technical data: like any website, our hosting providers log data such as IP address and browser for a short period, for security and operation.
3. Cookies and advertising
We show Google AdSense ads. If you click "Accept" on the cookie notice, Google may use cookies to show personalized ads and measure results. If you click "Decline", we only show non-personalized ads, which may still use limited cookies for frequency capping and fraud prevention.
See how Google uses data from partner sites and adjust your choices in My Ad Center.
We also store in your browser (local storage) your cookie choice and the reaction you gave to each post. You can change your cookie choice at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.
4. Why we use data
To send the newsletter you asked for, understand which content people enjoy, show the ads that keep the site free, and protect the site from abuse.
5. Legal bases
Consent: newsletter and personalized ads. Legitimate interest: anonymous statistics, counters and site security.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. It is processed by providers that help us run the site: Vercel (hosting and statistics), Supabase (database) and Google (ads). These services are located outside Brazil, mainly in the United States, and use contractual safeguards for international transfers.
7. How long we keep it
Your newsletter email is kept until you ask to unsubscribe. Technical logs follow our providers' retention periods. View and reaction counters do not identify anyone.
8. Your rights
You can ask for confirmation that we process your data, access, correction, deletion, portability, information about sharing, and withdrawal of consent. Just email ronielljesuss@gmail.com. We reply within 15 days. You can also complain to your data protection authority, such as Brazil's ANPD.
9. Children
The site is for a general audience and does not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has sent us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top always shows the latest version.
